Hunter Parrish has been the subject of much tumblr gossip lately as the casting of The Hunger Games movie has been at the top of everyone's mind. I have no familiarity with the books, but I have a feeling that it will definitely be the next big movie series and it would be great to see Hunter Parrish in it. Previously seen in Sleepover (the blonde member of the nerdy skater squad) and Weeds (the pot-dealing dropout older son), his work definitely shows that he deserves this role (he's also on Broadway at the moment...multi-talented!). So says my sister, his role in The Hunger Games would be that of "Peeta": a sweet baker who has a major crush on the main girl (already cast as Jennifer Lawrence).
The possibility of H.P. being cast as a baker only cements my belief that he would definitely be someone me and Moodle would love to go eat pastries with. Our first instincts were that Hunter's pie-type would definitely be apple, and even after thinking about it, we remain firm on our judgement. He's a total all-american boy who seems like he would appreciate a classic stand-by in American cuisine. On a funny side note, another apple pie guy we thought of was Andy Samberg, who couldn't be more different than Hunter Parrish, but we think he would enjoy the chunky texture (don't even ask...).
