Update & Video of the Week

Sup? This week has been kinda crazy, winding down to the x-mas (Or 'WINTER' as I should say) break. It mighta also been a bit wacky 'cause I've been on pennecillin lol (yeah, I know, pennecillin's not that kinda drug :P). I probably won't be posting for a while because I'm going to the Big Apple on Saturday (haha), but I'll prob. do a big update on my trip.

Today at my school we had an assembly so I got to miss geography. For all you other suckers, assemblies may be tedious and boring, but at my school, we do it up right. It was really great, especially the part where my teachers got up on stage to dance to "Soulja Boy". Let me explain; my school had a canned food drive and we were competing against our nemesis school and if we won, the teachers would humiliate themselves. We had 1000 more than them, so it was extra hilarious.

The video I chose for this week is Mae with "Suspension". I chose this because I've been hearing waaaaayyyy, wayyyyy, wayyy too much christmas music lately. Mae is supposedly a Christian band, so I guess that's kinda relative to Christmas, and the kid in this vid is wearing red tartan, so he's obviously in the spirit (either that or he's a grunge kid). This video's pretty inspirational, the kind that makes you wanna get up and give your annoying sibling a hug (pretty powerful stuff). This song was also on the Vans Warped Tour '05 cd, if by any chance you recognized it. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the vid, and remember, it's never too late for Christmas shopping so just chill out!

Video Of The Week

The VOTW this week is Lily Allem with "LDN". I first heard this song on SNL when she was the musical guest. I hadn't seen a songstress on the show for a very long time, so I was interested. It was later that I founf out that Lily's song "Knock 'Em Out" was the song playing in my Aunt Lori's car when we were coming back from shopping in Seattle. It's funny how sometimes a song you like but didn't get the name of comes back to you again. Anyways, I downloaded Knock 'Em Out on iTunes the minutes I found out the name and my sister reserved Lily's cd at the library to test out a few more tunes (we're in 54th place or something, I guess that proves how popular she is). Unfourtunately, she doesn't have a vid for Knock 'Em Out, so I had to "settle" for 2nd best (they're both great songs, don't get me wrong...). The videos' pretty cute and Lily's style can't be beat, so press play!
