Luella: London Fashion Week a/w 2009 - Runway

I can't beleive it's that time again! Seriously- THERE'S STILL 6 FT. OF SNOW ON THE SIDES OF THE ROAD!!! Okay, now that I have that out of my system I can focus on these late, breaking pics. Still very punky, but that's not really a change for Luella. I really love the crazy hair (blue, pink streaks, fros...) which actually becomes an accessory to the ensembles. These are some of my fave looks from the show out of many awe-inspiring looks. The top right look with Karlie Kloss has the cutest hat ever & the punky zipper dress over the button-up is boss. The bottom right look is reminiscent of current season Balmain (military blazer) but translated into fall. My fave part? The gold tights! I smell a mega-trend this fall.

Oscar Night: Fave Looks

Clockwise from left: Kate looks healthy & gleaming w/ a punch of coral, Amy accentuates her red hair & tries out prada inspired statement necklace, Natalie's skin tone is fab in this pink Rodarte, and Frieda shines in a Bollywood-esque royal blue gown. A+ ladies!

Makes Me Swoon: Marni Accessories

I've now found my favorite acessories designer- Consuelo Castiglioni for Marni. Honestly, could these necklaces, bags, & shoes be any more beautiful? They're like wearable modern art made with natural and nature inspired materials (very in for spring). The attention to detail and the lovely organic shapes are what give Marni's acessories appeal. Although Marni isn't Chanel, at $500+ each, the pieces are still pricey. I'm sensing some beading projects in my future ;)

Hunter Wellington Boots

...In hot pink!!! I never really thought of rain boots to be cute and wearable, especially for women over the age of 10. Besides the fact that Kate Moss is wearing them, these rainboots are made cool by the strappy-things on either side and the springy colors they come in. Since there's still A LOT of snow on the ground here in Canada, wearing super long socks underneath, then rolling them up at the tops can make these rainboots warm as well as 100% waterproof. When spring comes (if ever, blah), these boots would look super cute paired with some paper bag shorts ;).
