montreal // lake placid

Board the train in Montreal at 8 in the morning...fine, if you don't have to wake up at 4 in the morning to get TO Montreal before then. No sunrise, but some beautiful views that can only be seen from a train were captured.

11 hours of nyc anticipation while gliding across Quebec & New York State were definitely well spent. Chuck Palahniuk's "Haunted," along with my new bff the Belkin Rockstar made the trip go by way fast. Oh yeah, and the fact that I had my two amazing friends along for the ride.

The thing about the train is that you can see little towns and forests and lakes in a way that you'd never really get to see...plus it's going so fast that you have to be constantly looking to take everything in. Pair that with an amazing soundtrack and you're experiencing full synesthesia. Thanks again Sigur Ros.

Hurry Up Sunshine!

What I would give to find a pair of these...why don't our elders keep all their old clothes?

Magnolia

No, not the line to the curb bakery in New York. An amazing movie that, after watching, I felt different. Inspiration is something that is really needed right now, seeing as it's the start of a new, even more difficult semester. But not inspiration for fashion, or what I'm going to buy next...just how to live.

The acting, directing, editing, cinematography, and music is all incredible and make this movie really great. The combination of all these top notch elements made me connect with this movie. The soundtrack is by Aimee Mann & the song below is one that I can never hear enough of.
