Venice Beach

David Quadrini (owner of QED gallery in LA) captured by Todd Selby in his sweet apartment in those buildings on Venice Beach. When walking past these seemingly generic duplexes that had people almost falling over balcony ledges and "skateboard trees" peeking through windows, my curiosity to what the insides of these places looked like was piqued. This apartment is, for me a prime example of laid back living that is so essential in Venice Beach and seems to affect anyone who so much as passes through. To be honest, Quadrini's place is a little more tame than I would have thought..not a single skateboard in sight, (& the decor is quite minimal) but making laundry everywhere look cool, paintings tilted against walls haphazardly, and a balcony facing towards the ocean and the V.B. board walk make me green with jealous rage right now.
