Summer feelings! This VW car commercial is surprisingly creative and inspiring for being a car commercial. A lot of its vibe comes from the Nick Drake soundtrack, but the moonlighting and the feeling of driving around at night compliments the song well. Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris, who brought you Little Miss Sunshine and music videos for bands like the Smashing Pumpkins, directed Milky Way. These two are a good example of how advertising can express creativity and can be a vehicle to share art with a huge number of people.
