I've now found my favorite acessories designer- Consuelo Castiglioni for Marni. Honestly, could these necklaces, bags, & shoes be any more beautiful? They're like wearable modern art made with natural and nature inspired materials (very in for spring). The attention to detail and the lovely organic shapes are what give Marni's acessories appeal. Although Marni isn't Chanel, at $500+ each, the pieces are still pricey. I'm sensing some beading projects in my future ;)

Hunter Wellington Boots
...In hot pink!!! I never really thought of rain boots to be cute and wearable, especially for women over the age of 10. Besides the fact that Kate Moss is wearing them, these rainboots are made cool by the strappy-things on either side and the springy colors they come in. Since there's still A LOT of snow on the ground here in Canada, wearing super long socks underneath, then rolling them up at the tops can make these rainboots warm as well as 100% waterproof. When spring comes (if ever, blah), these boots would look super cute paired with some paper bag shorts ;).

Spring 09 Trends: Chunky Necklaces
Marni S/S 09
I'm really looking forward to wearing chunky necklaces this spring & summer. In the winter it's super hard to work a statement necklace (like the one pictured above) with chunky knits, along with all the other winter accessoires that we need in order not to freeze our butts off. Chunky necklaces go hand in hand with neutral tank tops and structured jeans. The difference in the necklaces of this season is that they are crafted with natural materials, such as stones, rustic metals, and sometimes wood. Just remember, when wearing attention grabbing accessories like this, keep everything else neutral, that's including ton visage.

Chloe S/S 09
Feast your eyes my cyberspace friends, on Chloé's Spring/Summer 09 collection. Chloé will always be my eternal favorite fashion house for its pretty palettes, girly details, and tasteful cuts. The flowy shapes contrast the structured shoulders of Balmain's S/S collection, and I predict that these scallopped edges and soft, billowy fabrics will be one of the most popular trends of this summer & spring. Another thing that everyone should learn from Chloe S/S 09 is to tone down the makeup and hair. Leave your hair clean and natural and make a soft side part. To freshen up your face, leave the bronzer alone and insead, dab some crème blush on the apples of your cheeks for a healthy flush.

Crystal Ball: Purple in Spring/Summer 09
Purple was seen all over Spring/Summer runways and is a definitemust-have for the upcoming season. Not only is purple flattering on every skin tone; paired with neutrals, jeans, or metallics, violet's more versatile than you think. Look for deep, rich hued purples when shopping and avoid pale pastel shades like lilac (not so flattering on everyone).
